Wonderful story of Beatrix Potter from her childhood to her death, with lots in between. Extremely well written and drwas you in to the life she had to endure as a child and as mature women. It gives a descriptive account of her maturer years tale of Beatrix Potter book a farmer and wife.

I loved it and didn't want it to by: This is a lovely story written by a lovely English Lady, wife of an Earl, and biography to many other authors, and a novelist herself as well.

I particularly enjoyed the portions covering Beatrix Potter's childhood summers spent in Scotland, and her time enjoyed with her "grandmama" who allowed her to read in the family's literary collections/5(60).

Beatrix Potter is regarded as one of the world's best-loved children's authors of all time. From her first book, The Tale of Peter Rabbit, published by Frederick Warne inshe went on to create a series of stories based around animal characters including Mrs.
