• The Book You Wish Your Parents Had Read is published by Penguin Life (£). To order a copy go to or call Free UK p&p over £15, online orders : Aida Edemariam. In Raising Your Spirited Child, Third Edition, parenting expert Mary Sheedy Kurcinka, Ed.D, offers ALL parents a glimpse into what makes their children behave the way they do.

Through vivid examples and a refreshingly positive viewpoint, this invaluable guide offers parents emotional support and proven strategies for handling the toughest times/5().

The book does help remind me that I have a lot to learn about God's love. one of my favorite parts of the book is when he discusses parenting and failure, very counterintuitive and he does a great way of showing how that counterintuitive failure idea connects with the love of God.

It was a little hard to listen to because there are no chapters/5(30). This book offers concrete ideas on how teens can negotiate with their parents to reach a compromise on cell phone use, grades, curfew, and many other issues.

I highly recommend this book. 2 people found this helpful/5(28). These skills help your child sound out words more easily as they read new material. Here are three ways to accelerate their skills and ability to read new words.
